EVENT DESCRIPTION
New Year’s Eve 2015 was celebrated around the world with parties, fireworks displays, and other festive events. As the clock struck midnight in each time zone, people gathered with friends and family to welcome in the New Year.
In major cities like New York, London, Paris, and Sydney, large crowds gathered in public squares to watch fireworks shows and countdown to midnight. In Times Square, New York, a traditional ball drop marked the beginning of the new year.
As people welcomed 2016, they made resolutions for the coming year, setting goals and aspirations for themselves. Many people also took the opportunity to reflect on the year that had passed and to express gratitude for the good things that had happened.
