Together, CBU and theCanadian Coast Guard College(CCGC) created a unique program where students set sail toward an adventurous career. Focused on marine safety and environmental protection, this one-of-a kind program provides training in either Marine Engineering or Marine Navigation as an Officer Cadet with the CCGC.
The four-yearOfficer Training Programat the Canadian Coast Guard College is a university degree. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Technology in Nautical Science from CBU and a Commercial Certification as a Ships Officer from Transport Canada.

The CCGC trains Officer Cadets to help protect Canadas 243,000 km coastline, its vast ocean resources and the individuals who go to sea. This training requires more than just time spent in a classroom. As a student at the CCGC, youll work hands on while receiving practical training using complex simulators. And when youre ready, youll set sail and use your skills at sea from this rigorous four year program.
